About the Principal
Ms Langill holds an undergraduate degree from Southern Connecticut State College (now University) in Intermediate Upper Elementary Education with a minor in French. Her graduate degree is from the University of New Hampshire in Adminstration and Supervision.
Ms Langill began her teaching career as the Title I Reading and art teacher for grades 4 through 6 at the St. Francis Indian School on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Her second year at St. Francis was as a fourth grade teacher. After moving to New Hamphire and teaching grade 6 in Rochester for two years, she was asked by the administration to become the teaching principal of Maple Street School, a 225 student, K-6 school in the Rochester School Distrct. While performing the administrative functions, Ms Langill taught 6th grade.
In 1987, Ms Langill joined the staff of Seminary Hill School as principal, replacing Carl Van de Bogart. Ms Langill has just completed her 23rd year as the principal of Seminary Hill School, her 33rd as an educator.
